Loughnane's is a family-run guesthouse and hostel. The building has been in the family for 100 years and is designated as a significant building. Situated on the main street of Feakle, the hostel is centrally located in the heart of East Clare. Although Feakle is equidistant from the urban centers of Galway and Limerick and is only 20 minutes from Ennis, the village itself boasts the tranquility of a small un-spoilt village while also plays host to a thriving Irish traditional music scene, evident in the local bars from Wednesday to Sunday. The surrounding picturesque landscape plays host to the famous East Clare walkways, the Slieve Aughty mountain range and within 15 miles a lake district consisting of 35 lakes including Lough Derg, Lough Graney and Lough Atorick.
At the hostel, each year, we welcome visitors from all over the world who come to the area for a variety of reasons. Each year we greet musicians, horticulturists, anglers, walkers, cyclists, golf societies, wedding parties, dinner parties, concert audiences theatre companies and health retreats.
The hostel also accommodates residential courses for up to 30 people. Course organisers of all disciples from drawing to yoga to culinary to languages use our facilities for weekend and weeklong classes throughout the year.
We hope to see you in the not so distant future and should you have any queries please do not to hesitate in contacting us.
Best Wishes,
Billy & Liz Loughnane
